Adam J. Grunbaum, D.O., F.A.C.O.I., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Grunbaum is board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Sun Coast Hospital and Rheumatology fellowship at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida.


In 2007, the American College of Osteopathic Internists honored Dr. Grunbaum with the National Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. It is presented annually to residents in recognition of outstanding compassion in the delivery of care, respect for patients, their families, healthcare colleagues and demonstrates excellence in clinical teaching.


Dr. Grunbaum is the Program Director of the Rheumatology Fellowship at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. This program is affiliated with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and University of South Florida.


Teaching has always been a passion for Dr Grunbaum. He has been involved in his local community since graduation, not only with teaching the next generation of physicians, but actively involved with education in the  community and outreach programs. His clinic is actively involved with clinical research studies primarily focused on rheumatoid arthritis and gout. In his spare time, Dr Grunbaum enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and supporting the Tampa Bay sports teams.

Laboratory results, X-Ray interpretations, DEXA, MRI and CT scan results are reviewed and discussed in detail during your appointment.


Portable ultrasound on-site for detection of musculoskeletal diseases.


We work with a variety of local facilities to coordinate your care in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Infusion Therapy

Our in-house infusion suite offers patients a comfortable, relaxing environment, where our specially-trained infusion nurse administers therapy for the treatment of many diseases.


These treatments are typically covered by most insurance companies, however, co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles are applied based on each insurance plan. Financial aid through foundation programs are available if the patient meets their criteria.

Policies & Procedures

Insurance & Referrals

Patients are responsible for understanding their insurance plan and are expected to pay all co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles. Please contact your insurance carrier to ensure we are an "In-Network" provider prior to your first appointment. If your insurance changes at any time, we ask that you notify our office before your next appointment to ensure we accept it and whether or not it requires a referral.


If your visit requires a referral, our office will contact your PCP approximately one week prior your appointment. If we encounter any issues or a referral is denied, we will contact you to reschedule.

Missed Appointments & No-Show Fees

We understand that plans change and emergencies happen, but we kindly ask that you contact our office prior to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to reschedule or cancel. Our office will either call, email or text your appointment reminder based on your selection, however, it is still the responsibility of the patient to note the appointment at the time they originally schedule it. We cannot be held responsible for being unable to reach you without accurate contact information provided to us.


Patients who miss their scheduled appointment and do not contact our office ahead of time or immediately thereafter with a valid reason (i.e. hospital visit or illness), a $25.00 no-show fee may be applied to your account and will be collected before any future visits.

Prescription Refills & Narcotic/Controlled Substance Agreement

Refill requests should be discussed at the time of your appointment. If you will need a refill before your next visit, please contact our office directly at least 7-10 days before you run out of medication. This allows us time to receive and process your request in a timely and reasonable manner.


Patients needing narcotics to help with their pain will be evaluated on an individual basis. For patients who are approved, a Narcotic/Controlled Substance Agreement is required in order to maintain a safe, compliant treatment plan.

New Patient Paperwork

Save time and download your paperwork before your first appointment. Complete all the sections and simply bring it with you the day of your appointment along with a Photo ID and insurance card.
